1. Our 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
You have 30 calendar days from the confirmed delivery date of your order to initiate a return for a refund or exchange. If 30 days have passed since your item was delivered, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a full refund or exchange, though partial refunds may be considered in some cases (see Section 6.2).
2. Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must meet the following criteria:
Condition: Items must be in the exact same condition as received – unused, undamaged (unless reporting a shipping or manufacturing defect), and in original condition.
Packaging: Must include all original packaging, accessories, protective sleeves, certificates of authenticity, and documentation.
Proof of Purchase: Accompanied by the original receipt, order confirmation email, or sufficient proof of purchase (e.g., order number).
No Misuse: Free from damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, or normal wear and tear.
3. How to Initiate a Return (Return Authorization Required)
ALL RETURNS REQUIRE PRIOR AUTHORIZATION. Do not send items back without an RA (Return Authorization) number, as they may not be processed.
Steps to Initiate a Return:

2. Provide Details: Have your order number ready and clearly state the reason for your return (e.g., “damaged item,” “wrong item,” “changed my mind”).
3. Receive RA Number: If your return is eligible, we will issue you a unique Return Authorization (RA) number and provide detailed return shipping instructions.
4. Include RA Number: Clearly write the RA number on the outside of your return package, and include a copy of the RA confirmation inside the package.
4. Non-Returnable Items
Certain items are excluded from our standard return policy due to their nature:
Custom or Special-Order Items: Collectibles that have been customized, personalized, or specially ordered for you.
Used or Opened Collectibles: Any trading cards, comics, memorabilia, or other collectibles that have been opened from their original sealed packaging, or show signs of use, handling, or wear beyond initial inspection.
Graded/Authenticated Items: Graded or authenticated items (e.g., by CGC, PSA, Beckett) once opened from their sealed protective cases or holders.
Items Without Original Packaging: Items returned without their original packaging, accessories, or documentation.
Items Damaged by Misuse: Items damaged by customer misuse, accidents, or improper handling.
5. Return Shipping
5.1 Customer Responsibility (Standard Returns)
* For returns due to buyer’s remorse, incorrect order placed by the customer, or if you simply changed your mind, you are responsible for the return shipping costs.
* We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method (e.g., USPS with tracking, FedEx Ground) and purchasing shipping insurance for the full value of the item(s), as we cannot issue a refund for items lost or damaged during return transit.
* Items must be properly packaged to prevent damage during the return shipment. Returns damaged in transit due to insufficient packaging may be subject to partial refunds or refusal.
5.2 DTT Comics Responsibility (Errors & Defects)
* We will cover the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error or a product defect. This includes situations where:
* The item received was defective or damaged upon arrival (see Section 7).
* The wrong item was shipped to you.
* The item you received was significantly different from the product description on our website.
* In such cases, we will provide you with a pre-paid return shipping label.
6. Refund Process
6.1 Processing Time:
* Once your return is received at our facility and has been thoroughly inspected (typically within 1-3 business days after delivery), we will process your refund.
* Refunds are generally processed within **5-10 business days** of successful inspection.
* The refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Please note that credit card refunds may take an additional 1-2 billing cycles for the funds to appear on your statement, depending on your bank’s policies.
6.2 Refund Amount:
* **Full Refund:** For eligible items returned in perfect, resellable condition (and where return shipping is covered by us if applicable), you will receive a full refund of the purchase price. Original shipping costs paid by the customer are generally non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
* **Partial Refunds (at our discretion):** A partial refund may be issued if:
* Items are returned after the 30-day window but within 60 days of delivery.
* Items are in good condition but are missing minor accessories or packaging components.
* Items show signs of light handling, slight wear, or minor damage not impacting primary function but affecting its “new” condition.
* A restocking fee (up to 20%) may be applied to returns for reasons other than DTT Comics’ error, especially if items require significant re-packaging or inspection.
* **Non-Refundable:** Original shipping costs (unless DTT Comics error), return shipping costs (unless DTT Comics error), and any customs duties/taxes are typically non-refundable.
7. Exchanges & Replacements (Important Note on Unique Items)
Due to the unique, vintage, and often one-of-a-kind nature of our inventory, **direct exchanges or replacements for identical items are generally not possible.** Each comic, card, or piece of memorabilia we sell has its own unique characteristics and condition.
No Direct Exchanges for Identical Items: If an item is returned (e.g., for damage or if you changed your mind), we will process a refund or offer store credit as described below. We cannot simply send you “another” copy of a rare or vintage item unless explicitly stated and available.
Edition/Variant Exchange: If you wish to exchange for a *different* edition or variant of a *similar product* (e.g., a different issue of a comic, or a different card from a set, if available), please contact us. Such exchanges are subject to availability, price differences, and any additional shipping charges.
Defective/Damaged (If No Replacement): In cases where an item arrives damaged or defective, and a direct replacement is impossible due to its unique nature, we will work with you to provide a **full refund** or **store credit** as your primary resolution options.
8. Defective or Damaged Items Upon Arrival
We meticulously package your items to withstand transit, but unforeseen issues can occur.
Immediate Action Required:** You **must contact us within 48 hours** of the confirmed delivery date if your item(s) arrive damaged or defective.
Documentation: Provide clear photos of:
* The damaged item(s).
* The inner and outer packaging (including all packing materials).
* The shipping label on the box.
* Do NOT attempt to “fix” or further handle damaged collectibles.
* **Retain Packaging:** Please keep all original packaging, shipping materials, and the damaged item(s) until your claim is resolved. These may be required by the carrier for inspection.
* **Resolution Options:** Upon verification of the damage/defect:
* **Full refund** (including original and return shipping costs).
* **Store Credit** for the full value of the item.
* **Replacement Item (If Available):** In the rare instance that an identical, equally unique replacement is available in our inventory, we will offer this option. However, for most vintage and unique items, this will not be possible.
* Guidance on manufacturer or grading company warranty service if applicable.
9. Warranty Claims
Many collectibles, especially graded cards or premium items, come with manufacturer or third-party authentication guarantees.
* For issues covered by such warranties, please contact us first. We can assist you with the proper procedure for filing a claim directly with the manufacturer or grading service.
* Warranty terms and coverage vary by manufacturer or grading company. DTT Comics is not the warrantor of such products but will help facilitate your claim.
10. Special Circumstances
10.1 Large or Heavy Items:
Items weighing over 50 lbs or oversized memorabilia may require special return shipping arrangements. You may be responsible for additional return shipping costs even for returns due to our error. Please contact us **before** returning any large or heavy items.
10.2 Hazardous Materials:
Items containing batteries, certain chemicals, or other restricted materials may have specific return requirements or shipping restrictions (e.g., cannot be shipped via air transportation). Contact us for specific return instructions for such items.
10.3 Store Credit Option:
Instead of a cash refund, customers may opt to receive store credit for the full purchase amount (including original shipping costs, even if typically non-refundable). Store credit:
* Never expires.
* Can be used for future purchases on our website.
* Cannot be redeemed for cash.
* Is issued via an electronic code.
11. International Returns (Currently Not Applicable)
